Botany defines the study of plants. Throughout time plants have been used for magical purposes, from poultices to potions. Plants were used to protect, to poison, and to bewitch passion.
Humans have studied plants since the beginning of time. Botanists, monks, Alchemists, Witches, Cunning-folk and Healers learnt all about plant properties and the medicinal advantages and disadvantages to herbs and flowers.
